Important Human Kinetics e-book information

Your Human Kinetics e-book will be in a PDF and/or ePUB format that is protected with Adobe Digital Rights Management. These e-books can be read on a variety of devices.

After purchase of an AAHF program containing an e-book textbook, you will be assigned a keycode and instructions for using the keycode to access your ebook through the Human Kinetics Web site for download to your computer or eReader device. The software you need depends on the device you use to read your e-book.

Human Kinetics e-books are supported on the following devices: Windows and Macintosh computer, iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch), and the Nook and Kobo eReaders. While there may be additional devices that support Adobe Digital Rights Management (and, therefore, Human Kinetics e-books), these are the devices for which detailed download instructions are provided by Human Kinetics. Our experience is that the best device for reading most e-book textbooks is a Windows or Macintosh desktop or laptop.

If you've misplaced your copy of a downloaded title, the Human Kinetics site maintains a history of purchased digital materials in the My e-Products section of your account. You can re-download an e-book by going to My Account > My e-Products. You are allowed to download an e-book a total of three times, so you can experiment with different devices if you wish.

E-books are assigned to you through your Adobe ID. This means that you can transfer library items to as many as six computers or supported mobile devices. Before you can transfer items between devices, you must authorize those devices with your Adobe ID.

Note: Bookmarks and highlighting are not copied when items are transferred to another device.
